The Finnish EDGC 2016 Team

The Finnish Disc Golf Association (FDGA) has nominated players for the Finnish national disc golf team. The nominations were made with the sights set on the upcoming European Disc Golf Championships 2016.
At the moment the team consists of 28 players with respectable track records and many titles under their belt – including several podium finishers at the EDGC 2014.
The team members were selected based on the qualification criteria set and published by the FDGA in Spring 2015. The criteria emphasizes players’ performance in the top level events held in Finland, such as the Finnish Championships and the Finnish Pro Tour, without forgetting notable achievements in tournaments held abroad.

In addition to these nominated players two spots on the Finnish team are still available. The FDGA will emphasize players’ performances at the Dutch Open and Copenhagen Open when selecting the additional members on the Finnish team. The last members will be nominated by the end of April.
*EDGC 2016 has the PDGA Tour Manager waiver to use the 2015 Junior divisional age breaks at the event. Players born in 1997 or later are eligible to compete in MJ1 division in EDGC 2016.
