The Finnish Disc Golf Association (Suomen frisbeegolfliitto, SFL) was founded in 1998 to represent the individual disc sports. SFL is national governing body of disc golf and the Finnish representative of the PDGA.

The European Disc Golf Federation was founded during the European Disc Golf Championships 2014 in Geneva, Switzerland. The EDGF is the office body for the European Championships, but also represents the member countries towards EFDF, WFDF and other European and International institutions.
The Professional Disc Golf Association, with a base of almost 80,000 members, is the governing body for the sport and sanctions competitive events for men and women of every skill level from novice to professional.
Oulun frisbeeseura ry (OFS) was founded in 1997 and is the biggest disc golf club in Oulu. At the moment the club has about 200 members. OFS is actively promoting the sport and working to improve the local conditions. The club also provides its members different kinds of activities in and around discgolf.
BSC Disc Golf Team is a tight knit club with nearly 80 members. Ever since the club was founded in 2005, BSC has been influental in the disc golf scene in the Oulu area. BSC organizes several annual PDGA tournaments as well as other highly popular open and closed competitions. A member of BSC is typified by a highly relaxed attitude towards doing your hardest to compete. The club has adopted Virpiniemi DGP as their home course.
